Its time. . .

to begin posting again. I haven't felt much like writing for the past few months, mostly because just dealing took all my strength. But I am finally doing something worth writing about. Yesterday I arrived in NYC to attend the American Association of Colleges of Teacher Education. On Sunday morning I will be doing a presentation with a colleague from my department at WU (she and I are on two teaching teams together as well). Several other colleagues as well as the Dean and Assoc. Dean are here also.

Yesterday was all about travel and getting settled in. I will not bore you with the trip, but, gee-whiz boys and girls, the flying experience has become a horror show, not to mention just plain uncomfortable.

Last night was fabulous. Months ago JV and I bought tickets for Jersey Boys. I haven't been in NYC since my family moved away from Westport, CN in 196??. so of course it had been as long since I had walked down 6th Ave, crossed Broadway, looked at the lights in Times Sq, etc. The play was everything a Tony winning play should be. The performances were beyond good and the music took me on a retro-journey --- good times!!

Today I will be attending a 3-hr workshop on dispositions and then a luncheon presentation by Apple. I am not quite sure what they are going to say, but lunch is provided and I am always up to hear about technology. Then we are off to shop --- 'cause we just must. I have brought my camera and will be posting photos as we have our NY adventure. stay tuned.
